Sometimes magic happens. I went home for lunch one particular day when things were filled with calamity and swirl at the office. I mean, there was so much drama and it was easy for me to get on that roller coaster and catch my gut as we all dipped downward, teeth and fist clenched. Maybe you've had days like that, too.
As I sat outside in my backyard, something caught my eye and in disbelief, I saw a red balloon slowly lift into the sky. There were no children outside in our neighborhood so I have no idea where it came from. But as I watched it rise slowly upward, I got the idea to let the craziness of work go and rise above it for a better perspective.
The office drama slipped away and I realized how stupid it was in the bigger scheme of things of what is important to me.
So, I want to give this balloon to you so if you ever get caught up in a frenzy, remember this little balloon and let it lift you up above it all.
I can tell you honestly that when you do, you expand more fully into yourself rather than "losing" anything. I didn't realize that until I experienced it myself.
