I’ve completed by first set of videos as fodder (😬😅💗) for folks to reflect on as we approach the holiday season and the end of this year.
Video 1: The BIG life question - Why are you here on earth, anyway?
Watch this video for context about why these questions are telling about your life purpose although they are not reflective of it:
How do introduce yourself to someone new?
Do you describe what you do, where you came from, how you spend the majority of your time like your job?
Or, at a gatherings, do you identify by relation to someone else (sibling, friend of)?
Video 2: Who are you? - Let’s start with the most central component of your life….YOU!
Watch this video if you get a sinking feeling if you really don’t know who you are without external labels.
Does a tinge of panic come up if I were say that all normal identity definitions, like your occupational title, family role, or primary activity were going to be taken away? And that includes all social constructs, too.
Without those constructs, who are you?
Video 3: It’s open drama season without a North Star!
Watch this video to see if you make room to get hooked by any random problem that’s around? If so, you’re squeezing space away from your North Star.
Where do you get hooked?
Do you just sit back, get the popcorn and watch the circus happen around you?
Are you doing all that you can everyday without depleting your integrity?
Video 4: Power Up! Use problems as a way to see what binds your North Star
Watch this video to understand how you make space for problems.
How often do you talk about problems outside their context in other situations? Do they run an undercurrent in your free time or affect your sleep?
What roots do you find in your life that find your north star instead of supporting its growth?
Who has power of you? Who controls what you can or can't do? Your boss, good performance for your next review?
Do you find yourself being nice when you really aren't feeling so hot? Do you show up 100% the real you every day?
Spend some time with yourself to see how 2018 treated you so you can clearly decide what you want to bring forward into the New Year.
